This video explains our Partners section, which includes managing your Advertisers and Publishers in Opta.

What Are Partners?

In Opta, partners are split into two types:

  • Advertisers – Entities you’re delivering leads to (clients or internal buyers)

  • Publishers – Sources you’re receiving leads from (vendors or owned media)

You can track lead volume, performance, and revenue by partner.

Advertisers: Setup & Access

The Advertisers tab shows a snapshot of:

  • Active advertisers

  • Inactive advertisers

  • Pending or expired invitations

Adding an Advertiser

Add an advertiser whenever you’re setting up a new campaign:

  • If you’re an agency, this is typically your client

  • If you’re a brand, you can add your own company as the advertiser

Managing Advertisers

  • Status Toggle – Switch between active/inactive

  • New User – Invite advertiser contacts (optional). They’ll receive a free login to a portal with reporting access

  • Multiple Users – Add, delete, or replace users at any time

  • Campaigns Icon – View which campaigns are linked to that advertiser (blue = active, gray = inactive)

  • API Access – Grant access to reporting via token-based API (optional)

Invitations

Pending invites will appear in the lower section of the screen:

  • You can resend or edit an invitation if needed

  • Expired invites are listed if not accepted in time

Publishers: Setup & Access

The Publishers screen is structurally similar to Advertisers but includes campaign-level access controls.

Adding a Publisher

  • Add a publisher to all campaigns or specific ones directly from this screen

  • This is faster than linking them from each campaign manually

Publisher Logins

Publisher logins serve two major purposes:

  1. Access to Posting Instructions – No need to send files manually

  2. Campaign Reporting – Publishers can view performance and delivery results in real time

Whenever possible, use publisher logins to reduce manual communication and errors.

Linking Advertisers & Publishers to Campaigns

You can assign partners to campaigns either from the campaign builder or using Command + K to jump quickly to a campaign.

Advertiser Assignment

  • Each campaign currently supports one advertiser

  • Use the Advertiser dropdown to link the campaign to a buyer or internal team

Publisher Assignment

  • Use the Publisher tab inside a campaign to allow publishers to post leads

  • Here you can also manage:

    • Affiliate ID

    • Sub ID

    • Posting instructions

    • Reporting visibility

Summary

The Partners section helps you centralize advertiser and publisher setup, access, and reporting. Use:

  • Advertiser logins for client visibility into campaign results

  • Publisher logins to streamline posting instructions and reduce support tickets

  • Partner-to-campaign links to ensure clean delivery paths and accurate reporting
