Learn how to use the Campaigns section in Opta to create, manage, troubleshoot, and scale your lead generation efforts. This includes setting up fields in bulk, customizing posting instructions, using lead lookup, managing suppression lists, and scheduling future changes.

This video explains how to navigate and use the Campaigns section effectively:

Campaign List

The Campaign List is where you can:

  • View all active or inactive campaigns

  • Search for specific campaigns

  • Create a new campaign from the top-right button or via global search

  • Pause, or activate campaigns directly in bulk

  • Quickly jump into Manage Campaign to update targeting, posting, or field structure

Global Field Options

This tool allows you to manage fields across multiple campaigns at once. You can:

  • Define default fields that apply to every new campaign

  • Add basic, custom, or posting variable fields in bulk

  • Use the bulk apply tool to push new fields across selected campaigns without editing each one manually

This is especially useful when campaigns follow a similar structure or when new data requirements emerge.

Posting Instructions

You can generate shareable posting instructions for any campaign and publisher without needing to give portal access.

Includes:

  • Campaign and partner info (e.g., CPL caps, schedule)

  • Required fields and targeting rules

  • A sample post and expected response format

  • Live test post functionality

  • Pre-ping setup and testing

Instructions can be viewed on-screen or shared via a link.

Scheduled Tasks

Use this feature to automate changes across campaigns. You can:

  • Schedule a campaign to pause or activate on a future date (e.g., holidays)

  • Set a future posting flow change

  • Include context or notes (e.g., “pause for one week during compliance review”)

  • Track all pending, completed, or canceled tasks in one view

Lead Lookup

A powerful tool for QA, validation, and troubleshooting. You can:

  • Search by email, phone, or filter by publisher or campaign

  • View lead status, post/response data, timestamps, and more

  • Filter by accepted vs. rejected

  • Export leads by day or campaign as a CSV file

  • Toggle to show test leads

Also includes a separate view for pre-ping lookup, helpful during campaign setup or debugging.

Suppression Lists

Two suppression levels are available:

  1. Global suppression list – Blocks records across all campaigns

  2. Campaign-level suppression – Scoped to a specific campaign

You can:

  • Add single entries manually

  • Upload bulk suppression files

  • Update the list via API (e.g., for real-time feedback suppression)

  • Download your suppression list to share with partners

  • Use provided templates to format your file correctly

Summary

The Campaigns section is the operational core of Opta. Use it to create and scale campaigns quickly, standardize your setup, troubleshoot lead issues, and manage rules at scale. Whether you’re managing dozens of campaigns or a single source, this section is designed for speed, clarity, and control.
