Overview
By default, Opta sends its own response messages to your lead sources when a lead is posted. However, you can enable Forward Response to send the actual response from your client or CRM back to the lead source instead.
When to Use Forward Response
Forward Response is useful when you want your lead sources to see the complete response from your downstream system, including any additional details or confirmation messages.
Important: Be cautious when enabling this feature. Client responses may contain sensitive information like pricing, internal notes, or other details you don't want shared with your lead sources.
How to Enable Forward Response
Navigate to Campaigns and select your campaign (e.g., Windows)
Click on Posting in the campaign menu
Select your active posting flow
Open the Posting Designer
Click on your CRM posting step
Toggle Forward Response to ON
What Happens When Enabled
With Forward Response ON: Lead sources receive the actual response from your client/CRM
With Forward Response OFF: Lead sources receive Opta's standard response or generic lead-rejected message
Best Practices
Only enable Forward Response if you're comfortable sharing all information that your client or CRM might include in their responses. Review sample responses from your downstream system before activating this feature.
